NEW PHOTO/ The Albanian 'hawk' twins Lupine are back: They commit

They call the twins "Lupin" and they are two Albanian brothers already known to the Italian Police after having committed hundreds of thefts. Edmond and Eduard Trushi have returned to the Udine area and the carabinieri have warned citizens: If you see them, call 112.

But even if they were caught, the problem would be the same; they are impossible to punish. And this is thanks to their DNA which gives the same results and it is difficult to determine which of the two leaves biological traces in the robbed places. And according to the law they are "innocent".

Hole in frame technique

Edmond and Eduard Trushi, 38 years old from Albania, always work with the technique of opening a hole in the frame, a procedure for which they are two specialists.

How it works?

They make a hole in the glass with a drill and then insert a wire with which they open the door or window and sneak into the house to rob it. Outcome? Hundreds of robberies. Many in the north-east, but have also arrived in Lombardy and Piedmont (and cases have also been reported in central Italy).

Impossible identification with DNA

They are identical twins and do nothing to distinguish them even in appearance: the same haircut, the same clothes and even the same tattoos. And also for this reason it is difficult to attribute crimes to them. The only hope was in DNA.

But even in this case the exams never gave a definite result. They were acquitted three times, earning them the twins' media nickname "Lupin," after the elusive gentleman thief created by Maurice Leblanc in 1905. In 2014, police found DNA on a stolen car and then left in Sacile after a long time of pursuit.

From those traces it was traced to Eduard Trushi, but in the trial he was declared innocent as it was possible to ascertain which of the two was at the wheel.

They caught the tracks

A modern ultra-accurate fingerprint examination put them in trouble. Despite being identical twins, their fingerprints are different and thanks to this the investigators convicted them in 2020. In Mantua they were sentenced to 2 years and two months in prison, in Pordenone in the first instance to 6 years and 10 months and on appeal. But now, they are back on the "market"./Tgcom
