A 34-year-old woman was put in the handcuffs of the Police in Rrëshen, after it turns out that she trafficked two stolen vehicles in Kosovo.

It is learned that it is about the citizen Alketa Pjetri, who brought to Albania a "BMË" type vehicle and a "Volkswagen" with Kosovo license plates.

The vehicles were taken to a service station in Rrëshen, apparently to hide their identification numbers. There are suspicions that the cars could be used in criminal events.

Police Notification:

The State Police finalized the coded operation "Suspicion" in Rrëshen, within the mega-operation Rule of Law.

During this operation, 2 vehicles stolen in Kosovo, suspected to be used for criminal purposes, were seized in Rrëshen.

The police also arrested 34-year-old Alketa Pjetri, who is suspected of having trafficked in Albania, 2 vehicles with Kosovar license plates.

Likewise, the administrator of the service in Rubik, where these 2 vehicles were found, was criminally prosecuted.

"As a result of the work of police intelligence, checks and investigations that are being carried out with intensity, within the mega-operation "Rule of Law", with the aim of preventing criminal events and clarifying those that happened before, the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes of the Mirdi Police Station have hit a case of trafficking in stolen vehicles, to be used for criminal purposes.


For the case, the AP citizen, 34 years old, resident of Rubik, was arrested for the criminal offenses "Trafficking of motor vehicles" and "Fraud with serious consequences", as it is suspected that by means of fraud, she trafficked from Kosovo to Albania, 2 vehicles, type "BMW" and "Volkswagen", with Kosovar license plates, which are suspected to be used for criminal purposes, in Rrëshen.

Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings for the criminal offense "Empropriation of money or goods derived from criminal activity" were started, for the DP citizen, resident in Rubik, as he allegedly hid the 2 vehicles in his garage in Rubik trafficked, which were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions", it is stated in an official announcement of the Police.
