The person you see in the photo above is Xhino Ago, former partner of businessman Mondi Mëhalla , who was killed on Sunday evening in Elbasan.

Ago has been arrested by police as an accomplice in the execution of the 43-year-old.

He is accused of the criminal offenses: "Premeditated murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition ".

According to the investigation, Ghino Ago is suspected of having aided the perpetrators by providing them with the vehicle used in the assassination, as well as by creating the conditions for the commission of the crime.

His arrest is considered one of the key developments in the complete unraveling of the murder of businessman Mahalla.

How did the incident happen?

On Sunday evening (November 30), businessman Edmond Hyka alias Mondi Mëhalla was executed inside his Range Rover.

The 43-year-old's body was found inside a car at around 8:35 p.m., in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood of the city of Elbasan. The victim had just left his office, near which his mother's businesses and home are located.

The moment he got into the car, he was shot with a gun and received three bullets, two of which were in the head, causing his instant death.

Police services then arrived at the scene, setting up checkpoints at all exits from the city, while searches were conducted in the area and in various locations to apprehend the perpetrators.

The assassins, after ensuring that the 43-year-old had passed away, fled in a black "Audi" vehicle towards the Elbasan-Librazhd axis.

The police meanwhile announced that a special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has begun work to clarify the circumstances of the crime and fully document the event.
