Marjeta Karaj, Besmir Karaj, and Gazmir Ngota, accused of murdering and burning Menduh Kurtdeda

The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has closed the investigations and has sent the file for trial against the three defendants, Marjeta Karaj, Besmir Karaj, and Gazmir Ngota, accused of the murder and burning of Menduh Kurtdeda. The Prosecutor's Office says that the above persons in cooperation with each other committed the criminal offense "Intentional murder".

According to the prosecution body, the investigations showed that Marjeta Karaj, employed as a secretary in an NGO, had constant disagreements with the deceased, regarding the financing and management of the association's funds.

In 2017, her son, citizen Besmir Karaj and his friend, defendant Gazmir Ngota, at the request of citizen Marjeta Karaj, took the deceased in the car and transported him to Kodër Shupal.

There they tied him up and pressured him to return a debt that Marjeta claimed the deceased had. When the victim denied the debt, the two people set him on fire.

The Tirana Prosecutor's Office sends 3 people to court for the Criminal Offense "Murder with intent" committed in cooperation. The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana sends to trial the defendants, MK, BK, and GN, accused of the criminal offense "Murder with intent" committed in cooperation provided by article 76-25 of the Criminal Code.

At the end of the investigation on criminal proceedings no. 4682 dated 21.06.2017, the Prosecutor's Office estimated that the above persons in cooperation with each other committed the criminal offense of "Deliberate murder" to the detriment of the victim MK

On 16.05.2017, in the place called Kodër Shupal, Zall-Bastar, Tirana, a male corpse was found, which, after the act of expertise, was identified as a citizen of MK

Nga hetimet e prokurorisë, rezultoi se shtetasja M. K., e punësuar si sekretare në një OJF ka pasur mosmarrëveshje të vazhdueshme me të ndjerin, në lidhje me financimin dhe menaxhimin e fondeve të shoqatës.

Në 2017 djali i saj, shtetasi B.K. dhe miku i tij, i pandehuri G.N., me kërkesë të shtetases M.K., kanë marrë të ndjerin në makinë dhe e kanë transportuar në Kodër Shupal. Aty e kanë lidhur dhe ushtruan presion për kthimin e një borxhi që e pandehura M.K., pretendonte se i ndjeri i kishte. Në momentin që viktima ka mohuar borxhin dy personat i kanë vënë flakën.
