The Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has sentenced three people involved in a corruption case to a total of four years in prison, where the former Cadastre official (ASHK) of Fier and two citizens were accused of taking a bribe of two thousand euros in the process of legalizing a house.
After the conclusion of the trial and the presentation of the claims by SPAK, the head of the trial panel, Fjorela Davidhi, found the three defendants guilty.
Former Cadastral employee Endri Ngresi was sentenced to three years in prison and banned from holding any public office for the next five years. Ardjan Kumaraku received a one-year prison sentence, while defendant Afërdita Vidhi was not sentenced, although she was found guilty.
In January, the Special Prosecution Office submitted the file to the GJKKO, where Ngresi was accused of “Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions.” Kumaraku and Vidhi are suspected of giving him the bribe in order to legalize and provide him with the relevant documents for an apartment.
