The High Court has dismissed the appeal of Zambak Gjoni and Arnold Rrokaj, who are suspected of being part of the criminal group that 'hacked' the emails of SPAK prosecutors.

Former prison and IMT officials are being held under arrest in prison, while SPAK is continuing investigations to uncover other individuals suspected of participating in the attempt to hack secret data from SPAK files.

The cyberattack occurred on March 12, but SPAK reacted through an official statement days later, saying that the hackers managed to obtain data from the email addresses of several prosecutors, but that they did not manage to penetrate the internal security system or leak investigative files.

SPAK explained that their arrest was made within 24 hours of the intervention for hacking the prosecutors' emails, and that they seized the equipment used to carry out the intervention as well as the downloaded files.

Both of these individuals have distributed the documents they have managed to obtain to other individuals, who are suspected to be two journalists, the former head of prisons, Agim Ismaili, and Dritan Palnikaj, currently Secretary General at the Ministry of Agriculture.
