A notary has been handcuffed by the police in Tirana, after she was declared a crime for abuse of office.

Notary Majlinda Demollari is accused of having drawn up 2 sales contracts for the same apartment.

Earlier, as part of this operation, a 31-year-old man was arrested who took 75,000 euros from a citizen, deceiving him that he would buy him an apartment in the capital, and a 48-year-old man who sold his apartment 2 times.

"Specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes caught the citizen wanted as part of the "Apartments" operation, MD, 57 years old, as it is suspected that abusing her duty as a notary, she has compiled 2 sales contracts for the same apartment. At the end of the procedural actions, after consulting with the prosecutor, the 57-year-old began proceeding at large, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", the police announced.
