A 21-year-old man who defrauded citizens by using a false identity to extort money from them has been arrested.

Young  Erjon Hoxha, a resident of Paskuqan, was caught red-handed when he went to take a sum of money from a 26-year-old woman, whom he had previously cheated on.

Police are continuing their investigations to uncover and document other cases of fraud that the 21-year-old may have committed.

Police announcement:

Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Strategy" is finalized.

Using a false identity, the 21-year-old is suspected of having repeatedly defrauded several citizens to get money from them. He is arrested and put in handcuffs.

He was arrested red-handed when he went to take a sum of money from a 26-year-old woman, whom he had previously cheated on.

After a citizen reported that she had been defrauded by a citizen to whom she had given sums of money several times, the services of Police Commissariat No. 2 have begun work to capture the perpetrator, who was using a false identity, as well as to document this criminal activity.

As a result of operational actions carried out within the framework of Operation "Strategy", citizen EH, 21 years old, resident of Paskuqan, was arrested in flagrante delicto, while he was taking another amount of money from the complainant.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover and document other cases of fraud that the 21-year-old may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
