'We will kill the family', the businessman who won the tender in the

3 people have been arrested by the police of Elbasan after they threatened a businessman to withdraw from the tender he had won in the municipality of Tirana with the company he managed.

They threatened him with his life if he didn't withdraw. After a month-long investigation with proactive methods, the coded police operation "Tender" is finalized.

The operation, developed by the investigative structures of DVP Elbasan and the Special Operational Force in the State Police, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Judicial District Court.

The operation started yesterday evening and continued until this morning.

They forced the administrator of a private company to withdraw from the competition procedure for the tender that this company had won, 3 citizens were put in handcuffs, 1 other person is wanted.

The specialists of the investigative structures of DVP Elbasan, supported by information intelligence that some citizens had threatened the administrator of a firm in Cërrik and continued to pressure him to withdraw from a tendering procedure that he had won in the municipality of Tirana, have referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Elbasan Judicial District, which registered the criminal proceedings.

After a month-long proactive investigation, the investigative structures of DVP Elbasan, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office and with the support of the Special Operational Force in the State Police, organized and finalized the police operation coded "Tender".

As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested and detained:

EB, 37 years old, AA 27 years old and Sh. A., 62 years old, three residents of Tirana, as well as LK citizen, 38 years old, was declared wanted for the criminal offense of "Extortion by means of threats or violence to give property", committed in collaboration.

These citizens, in cooperation with each other, have coerced EM citizen, administrator of a business based in Cerrik, Elbasan, by means of threats, asking him to withdraw from a competition procedure (public tender), won in the municipality of Tirana, from the firm he managed. The EM citizen refused to withdraw and these citizens threatened to kill him and his family members.

The vehicle used by the perpetrators and 8 mobile devices were seized as material evidence.

Procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Judicial District Court, for further actions.'- the police announced.
