ALARM during Luton–Tirana flight/ Five passengers fall unconscious, Wiz
Wiz Air

A plane departing from London to Tirana has not yet arrived in Albania after being diverted in Germany.

The Wiz Air plane departing from Luton Airport was expected to arrive in Rinas at 10:55, but in Munich the plane diverted and returned to its original destination, London.

It is reported that 5 passengers suddenly fell ill with fainting spells and as soon as the crew notified the pilot, he diverted to return to London as it was closer than Tirana at that point.

The plane has arrived at the airport and 5 ambulances are on the runway waiting for the sick passengers, who are not known to have suffered any injuries.

Meanwhile, other passengers are expected to depart for Tirana later, and this has also caused delays for passengers traveling from Tirana to London.
