The show "Në Shënjestre" on News 24, this evening addressed the tragic event in Shkodër, where a mother drowned in the waters of the river together with her three children.

Excerpts from the documentary:

Although during the search in the apartment of Ergdys Arrazi, the police did not find any illegal items, he was detained on suspicions according to the reasonable charge body that he was the cause of the suicide of his wife, Alma Arrazi, and his three children. Where one of the factors is his adultery against his wife, as well as the insults that led the latter to the act of self-sacrifice.

"Up to this stage of the investigation, reasonable suspicions have been created based on evidence that citizen Ergdys Arrazi, as a result of continuous psychological violence against his wife, manifested in the form of continuous insults and adultery, seriously affecting her dignity, has caused the suicide of the citizen Alma Arrazi, who in a serious psychological state is suspected to have thrown herself into the river together with her three minor children. Under these conditions, citizen Ergdys Arrazi was detained as a suspect for the criminal offense of 'causing suicide', the file states.

But what was this adultery that had so strongly disturbed the couple relationship between Alma and Ergdys? It must be said that they had a big age difference with each other. Since Alma was 39 years old and Ergdysi 31 years old, 8 years younger. And why Ergdysi tried in his first confession to the police to state that Alma suffered from depression and took anti-stress medication.

Evidence which even today remains unverified, since no one in the Shkodra Hospital claims such a fact. Although later the Arrazi family tried to correct the first statement, saying that Alma received her medications at the neighborhood ambulance and not at the hospital, where she did not have an open health card.

"Alma Arrazi was accompanied two years ago to my clinic by her family members. During the visit, I found that Alma only had anxiety problems and no serious mental health pathologies. And for this reason, I advised him to take sedatives. Since that time, Alma Arrazi has not visited me again. If Alma had mental health problems, as the family claims, it would have been very easy for her husband to come to me and express his concern. Ergdys Arrazi had a business in the building where I lived in Shkodër, and he could very well contact me as a doctor", says Gjon Preçi, neuropsychiatrist.

Sipas dëshmisë së familjarëve të Almës, Ergdysi kishte disa muaj që kishte krijuar një marrëdhënie jashtëmartesore me një vajzë 18 vjeçare, shumë më të re në moshë se ai, dhe se vetë Alma, fakt për të cilin ishte vënë në dijeni edhe vetë bashkëshortja e tij. Ajo kishte parë në telefonin e Ergdysit edhe një video të të dyve.

Për këtë kishte dijeni për të cilën kishte edhe babai i Almës, i cili i kishte kërkuar disa herë të bijës, të largohej nga ajo banesë, nëse i shoqi nuk e donte.  Arsye për të cilën e kishte marrë Almën edhe disa kohë në Itali, por që më pas ajo ishte kthyer sërish te familja e të shoqit.

“Vajza ishte larguar shumë herë nga ajo shtëpi. Unë e kam përkrahur, duke i thënë ik, nuk të do, lëre. Vazhdo jetën tënde.  Por nuk ma dëgjoi fjalën se e donte shumë. Edhe mentaliteti. Nuk donte ta linte se më thoshte që nuk jemi nga ato familje ne. S’jemi mësuar lër një e merr një tjetër. Se histori të tilla nuk përfundojnë mirë. Aq e trembur ishte vajza e madhe, saqë edhe kur e ëma shkonte në tualet, i rrinte pas derës, nga frika se mos i ikte. Kur dilte e ëma, e shikonte në sy! Sikur i lutej që mos ik më. Ishte shumë e lidhur vajza e madhe me të ëmën. Eh çfarë kanë parë ata fëmijë. Shpirti nuk më del rehat. Kam zemrën e operuar dy herë. Nuk ka kuptim më jeta ime”, thotë Azem Bushati.

Edhe pse Ergdysi dhe familja e tij thonë se Alma merrte ilaçe kundër depresionit, familjarët e saj e kanë mohuar një gjë të tillë. 

Madje babai i saj, ka mohuar gjithashtu t’i ketë sjellë medikamente nga Italia. Por e vërteta është se Alma kishte marrëdhënie të tensionuara me bashkëshortin e saj. Dhe për këtë arsye, largohej shpesh te e motra në Tiranë, bashkë me tri fëmijët. Por sipas familjarëve Ergdysi shkonte dhe e kërcënonte, duke e i thënë t’i jepte fëmijët. Një detaj që konfirmon këto thënie është edhe largimi i Almës për në Itali, në muajin janar. Por sipas babait të saj qëndrimi i saj pranë familjes së prindërve nuk ishte i gjatë pasi bashkëshorti i kishte thënë të kthehet sepse nuk do ta tradhtonte më.

Vetë Edison Arrazi, mohon të ketë dijeni për tradhtinë e vëllait të tij ndaj së shoqes.

“Unë nuk e di që vëllai të ketë patur një lidhje tjetër. Po edhe sikur të ketë patur edhe 20 lidhje ai veprim nuk është asnjëherë i justifikueshëm sepse është një ngjarje e rëndë”, thotë Edison Arrazi.

Po kështu Edison Arrazi, i cili kishte vetëm pak ditë që ishte liruar nga qelia, pas një dënimi disa vjeçar për kultivim të lëndëve narkotike, ku kishte fituar ulje dënimi nga amnistia e fundit, mohon që vëllai i tij Ergdys Arrazi, të kishte ushtruar dhunë psikologjike ndaj bashkëshortes, Almës. Madje ai u përpoq që në daljen e tij publike ti jepte marrëdhënies së vëllait dhe bashkëshortes së tij, një tablo të qetë familjare. 

Pavarësisht se mesa duket kjo tablo nuk ishte aspak e tillë.

"My daughter-in-law and my brother's daughter-in-law that afternoon went out as usual to drink coffee together with the children. It is untrue that the brother has exercised psychological or physical violence against our daughter-in-law. The bride has long been treated with medication for stress and depression. It is not that he was in a serious condition, but from time to time he took medicine ", he says.

But if the truth is as the Arrazi family says, then why did Alma undertake this heavy, unusual act of sacrifice with her three children? This was a punishment for the treacherous husband, to give him with this action, the most severe punishment that can be given to a husband and a father, that of losing parenthood once and for all.

"The girl said that he has a boyfriend, went with others, started giving his own signs, until he reached this state. He told me he lives with a young girl, sleeps in a separate room with the three children. She told me that I don't want someone else to make my children happy, I made them, I will raise them. There he made the decision to sacrifice his life and that of the three angels ," says the father.

But if this is the case, does a mother have the right to punish and take the lives of their children, the most innocent beings in this history, for the sake of this punishment against her husband. How should public opinion judge in such a case?

Should this investigation delve further into other causes that may have been hidden and may have led to the act of suicide of Alma and his children? And is this a suicide, or could we be facing evidence that could lead us to a murder?

A mystery that the investigations will have to reveal to us, before coming to conclusions, which simply cloud even more the most serious suicides that have occurred in these 30 years in Albania, of a mother and her children .
