The head of the State Cadastre Agency, Artan Lame, has held a conference regarding property registration.

" Now we are focused on the registration of state property. We all know what happened. I don't want to put my finger on the past. The cases of abuse are endless and it started due to the non-registration of state property over the years ", said Lame.

He also emphasized that every year there are over 1 million applications related to problematic situations regarding property.

"I bring the example of the Shënkolli Prison in Lezhë, which the owner of the Prison yard came up with. The building has remained in the state and the owner has left the yard", said Lame, among other things, adding: "On Wednesday, a VKM for the updating of public properties will be passed to the government, which will specify the procedure for how these properties will be identified . Today we are launching the project of registration of state property".

Among other things, Lame said that the Presidency has no registered property of its own, and that the previous president refused to decree the law.

" The Presidency has no registered property of its own. The 20/20 law was not decreed by the president of the republic at that time. I asked for it to be approved because it will pave the way for the registration of state property. The presidency is still unregistered today" , he said.
