Albania and the United Kingdom signed a joint declaration on Advancing Bilateral Cooperation with Shared Priorities. The two countries also signed a Declaration of Intent regarding defense exports and industrial cooperation.

This was the first visit of a British Prime Minister to our country, coming one day before the European Political Community Summit.

"This is a historic visit to Tirana, following that of President Macron, who was the first president in the history of Albanian-French relations to visit Albania. We appreciate it immensely," said Rama. "I want to thank you for the care you showed in entrusting your people to help us with their expertise to organize the European Political Community Summit. This is an important moment in the history of relations between our two countries."

"We have reason to be very proud of the work we have done in the field of illegal immigration," Rama added, also denying a figure that has circulated in the British media that 1 in 50 Albanians are in prison in Britain. "This is a big lie that has taken on the status of truth, while the real figure is 1 in 500."

Rama said that the time has come to examine another problem with Great Britain. "Many Albanians who have integrated into life there, but at the time of their arrival, used their Kosovo identity to gain acceptance as war refugees, while leaving a country in extreme difficulty," Rama added.
