Crystal Palace Premier League manager Roy Hodgson was taken to hospital on Thursday following advice from the club's medical staff.
The Premier League side had to cancel Thursday's press conference after the manager fell ill during a training session earlier in the day.
The 76-year-old has since this morning been rehabilitated and is walking without assistance and talking to doctors, reports The Telegraph, but he will undergo further tests before leaving hospital.
He will not be in charge for Monday's game against Everton and assistants Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington are likely to lead the team from the bench. The club announced his condition in a statement posted on their official website.
"Unfortunately, today's press conference will no longer go ahead as planned as Roy Hodgson fell ill during this morning's training session," it read.
There are rumors in England that Palace are considering making a change to the bench after disappointing results this season. The Selhurst Park club are 15th in the table and five points clear of the relegation zone.
The club are looking to hire former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner as Hodgson's replacement in the coming weeks.
