Klopp will leave Liverpool at the end of the season: I have no more energy
Jurgen Klopp

Jurgen Klopp will step down as Liverpool manager at the end of the season.

The German manager has informed the club's ownership of his decision to leave after taking charge at Liverpool in 2015.

Klopp has won six trophies with the Reds, including the Premier League title in 2020 and the Champions League trophy a year ago.

"I absolutely love everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our fans, I love the team, I love the staff. I want everything. But the fact that I still make this decision shows that I am convinced that it is the one I should make", said the 56-year-old.

"It's that I'm, how can I say, I'm running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew beforehand that I would have to announce it at some point, but now I'm absolutely fine. I know I can't do the job again and again and again and again," he emphasized.

"After all the years we've had together and all the time we've spent together and all the things we've been through together, respect has grown for you, love has grown for you, and the least I owe you is the truth - and that's the truth ", he emphasized.

"If I received an offer now, I would not accept it. But I don't know how I would feel after some time. What I know for sure is that I will never manage another English club but Liverpool.

This is 100% safe. It is impossible to work with another English team, there is no chance", said Klopp, who has won 7 trophies on Liverpool's bench, including the Premier League and the Champions League.
