A stadium that once hosted the Champions League and The Euros is now completely abandoned.

The historic Donbas Arena, the one-time home of Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk, is now deserted despite once hosting some of the best European competitions.

The 52,000-seater stadium, which is bigger than Villa Park and Stamford Bridge, once hosted the European Championship and champions league but has not seen footballers' heels and the round ball for a full decade.

That is due to conflicts in Ukraine that have forced Shakhtar Donetsk's team to relocate stadiums four times in the last ten years.

And recent photos collected by The Sun have shown the severity of damage caused to the stadium even after the Russian invasion of the country.
