Ancelotti makes the sensational statement: We will not participate in the Club
Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid will not participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, the news was given by coach Carlo Ancelotti. The format has changed and from next year 32 teams will participate in this competition.

The Club World Cup, which with the new format will be organized once every 4 years, will be held in the period June-July 2025 in the USA, on the same dates as the World Cup a year later (2026). The 32 participating teams are divided:

4 from the African confederation, 4 from the Asian confederation, 4 from the North American confederation, 1 from Oceania, 6 from the South American confederation and 12 from the European one. And one from the host country.

"FIFA forgets that teams and players will not participate in the new Club World Cup... A single match of Real is worth 20 million euros, while FIFA wants to give us this amount for the whole tournament.

We will decline the invitation to participate in the World Cup. Like us, many other clubs will act, they will not accept participation", said the Madrid coach.
