Analyst Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that Erion Veliaj will win with a margin of more than 30,000 votes in the May 14 elections for the Municipality of Tirana.

In the "Top Story" show, Spahiu said that in front of Veliaj, PD has chosen Belind Kelliçi, who according to him is the weakest candidate that the opposition has had in the last 25 years. He added that today PD needed a much stronger candidate in front of Veliaj compared to the previous elections, but chose a name 5 times weaker.

"For the first time in 25 years, the opposition has the weakest candidate in its political history. All the candidates who lost deeply with the socialists were stronger than the current candidate. Besnik Mustafaj, Sokol Olldashi, Spartak Ngjela, Halim Kosova were personalities who had votes beyond the PD and always received votes beyond the party.

Today, when the DP needed a candidate five times stronger than these four, it chose a candidate five times weaker. I am convinced that Erion Veliaj wins with a margin of more than 30 thousand votes in Tirana and this is my public and political bet. Erion Veliaj will have a very deep victory because there is a divided opposition and there is a very weak candidate, Spahiu declared.
