The former General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknuri stated that he has always been accused, while adding that life had taught him to face the unexpected. When asked by journalists if he felt betrayed by Rama, and if he had let him face justice, Gjiknuri said that he did not feel abandoned.
"The surprise for some and the interest it causes in social networks should not be the axis from which my consciousness should be oriented. After each election process we exercise an analysis process. I don't call it in the terms you say. For me the end of something is the beginning of something new.
I have always been accused after holding key positions. It is not the first time that we have been accused of political charges. There is only one justice that judges them, and not the public opinion created by different political foci. Personally, I do not feel any kind of abandonment, I am in constant communication with the head of the party, it is a stable working relationship. The higher positions you have, the more you will be attacked" , declared Gjiknuri.
He was also asked if he was interrogated by SPAK regarding the issue of incinerators.
"The investigation has been going on for years, I have never been called, if they call me naturally I will give an explanation. The role of the energy minister has been peripheral...
I say with conviction that those works are wrong. Those works are for the benefit of the public, the citizens. Today in Elbasan there is a plant that produces energy.
Decisions must be seen in a wider context. I don't feel sorry. I am used to moving in different positions. I like to see myself in positions of 360 degrees" , he said.
