"The signatures were misused", the DP sends the election of Endri Shabani to the Constitutional Court. People's Advocate

The Democratic Party has decided to send the election of Endri Shabani as People's Advocate to the Constitutional Court. 

The DP considers Shabani's election invalid, as the 35 votes they cast in his support were withdrawn two days after all candidacies were announced. The withdrawal of signatures was not recognized by the Laws Committee or the Assembly.

Endrit Shabani was elected People's Advocate with 85 votes in the Assembly, a process which the opposition abandoned.
