On the morning of this Wednesday, at 09:30, Ilir Meta will appear before the court, to familiarize himself with the security measure against him.

The former president and chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, was arrested on Monday afternoon in Tirana, while he is accused of money laundering, passive corruption and non-declaration of assets.

He was returning by car from Kosovo, while at the entrance of the capital, agents and police officers intervened and escorted him to the Tirana Police Department and from there to the security block.
