"How can this happen?" - Socialist MP supports Rrjoll residents

Socialist Party MP Ermal Pacaj has publicly sided with the residents of Rrjoll, who for weeks have been strongly opposing the construction of a tourist resort on their land.

Through a post on social media, where he published the gruesome footage recorded the day before, where a young man, a resident of the area, was seen being brutally raped with punches and kicks by a security guard, Pacaj condemned this act.

The MP calls this event unacceptable, emphasizing that violence can never be a solution. According to him, every conflict must be resolved through justice and legitimate institutions, in respect of the constitutional rights of citizens.

"What about this?! How can you do that?! Absolutely excessive, too much. I condemn and despise the punching and kicking of the resident and residents of Rrjoll. An unacceptable, vandal and bandit act."

"These problems are not solved with violence and brutality, they are solved with justice and legitimate institutions, respecting the inalienable rights guaranteed to us by the Constitution," writes the socialist MP.

For nearly a month, residents of the Baks-Rrjoll area have been protesting against the construction of the "Blue Borgo" tourist resort, a project that is being developed near Rana e Hedhun. Clashes have been frequent and in some cases have escalated into physical violence.

Despite the incidents, their escorts to the police, but also to the hospital, the residents have expressed their determination not to retreat from their cause, demanding an immediate halt to the works and defending every piece of land with their "nails".
