Rama says that the Jewish people and the Albanian people have a deep-rooted connection, as he adds that he has contributed to its strengthening.

"Let us continue to nurture the special bond between our peoples and work towards a world filled with peace, prosperity and understanding", writes Rama.

As the sun has set and the Jewish New Year has begun, I extend my warmest wishes to the Jewish community in Albania, Israel and around the world. Rosh Hashanah is a time of reflection, renewal and hope, and as we enter a new year, let us appreciate the deep-rooted bond between the Jewish and Albanian people.

Our shared history is a testament to the enduring spirit of unity and mutual respect. Throughout the darkest times, Albania has been a beacon of hope and refuge for the Jewish community. Our nation's commitment to protecting Jewish lives during the Holocaust is a poignant reminder of our shared values ​​and the strength of our bond.

In recent years, I have had the privilege of contributing to the strengthening of ties between Albania and Israel. Our cooperation in various sectors, from trade to culture, has enriched both our nations and paved the way for a brighter future. I am proud of the steps we have taken together and I am committed to further deepening our partnership.
