Prime Minister Edi Rama gathered the country's mayors in Durrës, who were given an ultimatum to dismiss all mayors of administrative units and deputy mayors by Monday.

The mayor of Kavaja, Fisnik Qosja , and the mayor of Himara, Vangjel Tavo , warn that they will not implement Rama's order.

Qosja emphasizes that he will not dismiss the vice presidents because the prime minister requests it.

"I don't listen to political orders," said the mayor of Kavaja.

Mayor Tavo seemed more moderate in his opposition, saying that the deputy mayors he leads are new to those positions, so he will test them on whether or not they should remain in office.
