Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Brussels where he is giving a statement to the media with the President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Oliver Röpke.
" The committee is the end of the beginning. The pilot project that we want to expand. Both sides are smiling, we are satisfied with the work done. When you are not in the EU you are in the area of ??nothing, when you are in the EU you have everything. We are advocating to be also in the EP, of course not with MEPs who will have the right to vote, but with teams that will prepare for what awaits us", said Rama.
He stated that the EU integration process is not simply an issue that belongs to the government, but belongs to all citizens.
" In the consultations with civil society organizations, as a normal and regular work for any key initiative, we very much expect that with these consultations the interaction within our society will become even more important.
We are really ready to speed up the EU membership process. It was a pleasure to have met and started the day here together under the spirit of the work of this committee, which has been a very active and open and benevolent factor towards us. Brussels has a heart and this is good news ", said Prime Minister Rama.
