During his speech at the meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Prime Minister Edi Rama also spoke about SPAK's investigations into AKSH.
Rama said that AKSHI is a proud institution and its former director Mirlinda Karçanaj has worked together with the staff without hours to raise it to these levels.
The Prime Minister further commented on the public accusations against Karçanaj, saying that they put villas and cars on his "back", while according to him, he lives in a rented house.
Rama: We have excellent leaders, but we have a thousand people, I consider the fear to be terrible. I have spoken before about AKSH and its director, who is under house arrest. I do not want to say a word about the content of the case. But I can say that a proud institution like AKSH and applauded by the international community is becoming a square! The employees and the director have worked around the clock.
People have the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. What if Linda is innocent? They have massacred her, putting villas and cars on her back, while she lives on money. While she doesn't even give a car.
What does the state gain here? Because the state guarantees them jobs and the right to make decisions. What if the director of KESH, a valuable manager, has been in detention for months, who won and who lost in this? What if the same thing happens to others?
That everyone is innocent until proven guilty in court. Do you know where they are today? They don't sign a single piece of paper out of fear and some are being treated by psychologists.
