The deputy of the Democratic Party, Luan Baçi, said that he was against the candidacy of Fredi Beleri in Himare and wanted a candidate from the Democratic Party. 

In a television interview, he clarified that even though he has no sympathy for him, he does not support the arrest as it seems to him a staged event.  

"I did not agree that Beleri was a candidate in Himare. I would like to be a candidate of the Democratic Party. This is my personal opinion and I have no sympathy for Beleri either, but seeing the actions that have been taken I have to stand up and tell the truth. It is obvious, if Rama had accepted, he would not have spoken, he would have taken the position that the prime minister should take, but a prime minister who appears in the media and says that I will deal personally with all those who want to put Beleri there, it's absolutely staged. We are talking about a man who has a problem with the appearance of what he is going to do. He wants people to know that he does such a thing, that he is not afraid of anyone, and the delusion of greatness that Rama has is already known, Rama will not know," he said .
