"Serbia's aim remains to take revenge on Kosovo". Prime Minister Albin Kurti emphasizes this in an interview with the Swiss media "NZZ", adding that the West is being too naive with official Belgrade and does not see clearly that it has become a gateway for the influence of China and Russia in Europe.
Kurti emphasizes that Vucic is throwing ashes in their eyes by selling a reality that he is in the western camp, but in reality he has not given up on Kosovo.
"Vucic is simply deceiving the West. The elite that dominates the country has never given up on the Greater Serbia project. It's just called something different now, namely 'Serbian World'. This means the unification of all Serbs in one country. This would mean the dissolution of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo," said the prime minister.
Kurti for the Swiss media also mentions the heavy armament of Serbia from China and Russia, as well as the order of billions of dollars with fighter jets from France. The prime minister signals that this arming is being done in the context of possible revenge, while bringing to attention the words of Vucic that he appreciated the actions of Azerbaijan for the "return home" of Nagorno-Karabakh.
"This is exactly what Vucic wants to do with Kosovo. It also exercises strategic patience, but the goal remains revenge. We must be prepared for this", added Kurti.
Kurti is asked if the return of Donald Trump to the American presidency poses a danger for Kosovo, answering that Pristina has worked well with presidents from both sides.
The Swiss media also recalls his old promises, but the prime minister says that a union of Kosovo and Albania is not on the agenda. "Kosovo's membership in NATO would be better," concludes Kurti.
