Massacre in Shkodër, Rama: Crime is more backward than ever! The battle
Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted for the first time to the assassination attempt with three victims in Shkodër, where one of the victims was a transient woman, while her husband is in a serious condition for life.

Rama called it a "tragedy", but focusing on the statistics, he said that this year for Albania was the year with the fewest murders since he came to power.

"Crime is more backward than ever, we took the task with 150 murders a year, today we are at the lowest number of murders. These are undoubtedly tragedies...Crime in Albania is more shrunk and more backward than ever, this battle is not over but it is an ongoing battle. Every year the number is decreasing, and this year is the number with the fewest murders. When I took office, there were three murders a day, on average," said Rama on the "Opinion" show.

The head of government also briefly commented on the messages of politicians and members of the criminal world in encrypted applications, saying that it is up to justice to prove whether all that is said is true or not.

"This story of EncroChat and SKY ECC is a story that is up to the law enforcement bodies to investigate, there are tens and thousands of messages that do not say anything, but until they are proven, one comes out and says that "I met the tall one", it didn't come out, but what are they saying", declared Rama.
