For 3 months in cell number 6 in Fier prison, former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji, convicted of false reporting in the "Babale" case, today, through a post on Facebook, commented on the opening of the next group of chapters on Albania's integration path.
Salianji cites the return of several trucks of tangerines from EU countries with dangerous pesticides, as proof, according to him, that the government has left the farmer at the mercy of fate.

Letter from Cell 6/Cannabis passes with applause, mandarins return in silence. On Thursday, shortly before midnight, some applause was heard in the Parliament hall. One would think that the legislators would have passed some strong reform, or a law in the public interest and in the service of citizens. In fact, the government's initiative to legalize cannabis had just received the green light.
After this, the Speaker of the Parliament, in her enthusiasm, congratulated the citizens on the end-of-year holidays. This parliamentary session also ended successfully, paving the way for the expensive license of legal, medical drugs. Edi Rama started his government with cannabis and is ending it with cannabis. I am convinced that this is his last mandate.
When in 2015 I made some denunciations that the government denied, I was forced to enter the hashish plots, in a dangerous atmosphere because they were guarded by armed people, the government denied it again!! The Prime Minister said that they had uprooted every root. The truth is that we had a massive cannabis plantation. The plots were the nursery of the narco-state. Those who got rich with hashish entered the hard drug market and every part of the economy, distorting competition and artificially increasing prices.
Every time the government boasts about the increase in property values, it does not mention the main factor, which is the introduction of drug trafficking money into construction. That dirty money has only brought harm, and on the other hand bloody events, clashes and hostilities with dozens of deaths. Crimes that continue to this day. So the global leader's delusion that cannabis would bring economic miracles (according to the testimony of the former deputy prime minister) was a tragic and criminal folly.
But Edi Rama does not give up. He lost 2 interior ministers precisely because of his connections with drugs and trafficking, and now he has decided to cultivate it with government permission, with the license that he will give to the predetermined winner. This remains his vision even before these elections. The Prime Minister did his favorite dance in Brussels, when he said that Albania had opened other chapters with the European Commission. The propaganda that moves much faster than integration brought us as a historic achievement. The chivalrous government is breaking through the roads and breaking through the obstacles, and is bringing us closer to the great family of the continent.
That very day, news broke that our tangerines had been sent back to the EU borders, as they contained pesticides and were dangerous to health. This is a drama for domestic production. Everyone knows that we will become part of the Union when we reach certain standards, and not with ready-made talk and chronicles about the great achievements of the Prime Minister in Brussels. We will be part of the Union when the farmer here is not left to the mercy of fate, but when he is assisted and properly controlled, so that the tangerines of this country with fertile and blessed soil and 300 days of sunshine are not rejected.
If we are not able to export this product that comes from our most precious assets (the same thing has happened with other products) then what will we take to the EU? Or cannabis again, this time under the guise of medical and industrial. Here in Fier prison, at this time of cannabis and tangerines there is an irony. I, who have denounced the criminal phenomenon and its connections with the interior ministers, am in the third month of my sentence.
While there is no mention here of the great damage that has been done to our farmers, with the denial of over 100 million euros in aid from European Commission programs, because the government decided to get its hands dirty and squander 33 million euros from the previous program. 33 million euros from German, French, Italian, Belgian taxpayers, etc. Among the support that could come from the EU, there could certainly be a solution for pesticides, which would make our tangerines safe. But this did not happen, because the Rilindas not only took that money for themselves, but they have still not reacted properly after the scandal to convince the Commission to reopen the Ipard-III road.
I am very curious to know how the one who opens our chapters with Brussels would react if asked, how did your government steal our taxes that we had intended for your poor farmers? So, we are closing the distance, we are getting closer to the European Union with crazy propaganda. Applauding drugs, and keeping silent about the return of tangerines.
