The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in a press conference stated that the imprisonment of Ervin Salianji will not only not stop the denunciations, but will further increase the anger of the deputies and Albanian citizens.

The political imprisonment of MP Salianji, who has been at the head of strong denunciations against this regime, will not only stop the denunciations, but will further increase the anger of MPs and citizens. Asked about the appointment of the new Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, Meta said:

"At the head of the state police is Edi Rama, the head of crime. The change of ministers and leaders is not important, since the first instrument this government politicized was the state police through which it channeled the country and intimidated the voters".
