At the International Economic Forum taking place in Tirana, French President Emmanuel Macron called on businesses to invest in Albania. He expressed his belief that in the next two years, the country will be part of the EU, which he said is important not only for the region to create stability.

He stressed that this call comes not only because Rama is his friend, but also because with his mandate, Albania will move towards the EU within two years. Macron added that this process will be strongly supported by France and Germany.

"It's good to have you in Europe! This is a stable and reliable country. Don't underestimate the powers. Here in Albania you clearly have the entry point to the Western Balkans region and beyond, a key point in the Mediterranean and Europe, so I encourage you to invest in Albania, because you have strong leadership. I'm not just talking because Rama is my friend, but because he has brought results. In the next two years, since he has a clear mandate, they will be part of the EU. Be sure that we as Europe will deliver results. Now that we have a strong alignment between France and Germany, we will do our utmost to realize the agenda that they talked about, please invest in Europe, trust Europe because we need your trust and investments to realize the agenda that is so ambitious that it is not right. Let's work together for the economy, for immigration, for trade. If we integrate into very stable countries, we help stability and the EU. I am an advocate for closing this EU membership. "That's why KPE is so important. We have united with Albania and school 42, which is a very good element," Macron said.

During his speech, the head of the Elysee Palace once again expressed support for Albania's integration into the European Union. According to him, beyond the European Union there is a larger Europe, which includes the Western Balkans, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine.

"I strongly believe that beyond the EU, we have a greater Europe that is the Western Balkans, the United Kingdom, Ukraine. This greater Europe is a country with over 650 million inhabitants that is not taken into account either from a geopolitical or financial point of view. Let's integrate these countries even better, let's work together on the economy, immigration, defense, trade. If we do this, we integrate very stable countries, without war, without destabilization, if we achieve a more well-integrated space, beyond the EU, of course I am an advocate of membership and closure in 2027. We already have an extraordinary opportunity of 700 million inhabitants to make this country, this space respected by all. It is a unique opportunity," Macron said.
