Journalist Blendi Fevziu spoke today through a direct link from Kavaja regarding the election process. He said that DP is expected to return after May 14 regardless of the result.

It is coming back, the opposition abandoned the 2019 local elections and I have considered leaving the Parliament and leaving the local elections as one of the political blunders and mistakes that will cost the DP in the long term. That affected her defeat in 2021, which is affecting today for a very different result, to become the challenger now is very difficult, but on the other hand, it is expected that the DP will return because it is participating in the elections and the municipal councils will be of two colors and of course a number of municipalities in Albania will receive PD. We consider the electoral history of the Democratic Party, how much it won in the 2015 elections. The comparison will be made with 2015 and with the votes in the districts in 2021. It remains to be seen where the battle will be,

According to Fevziu, Berisha's DP will now have its representation in local institutions and the municipal councils will not only have representatives of the majority.

"We have not set a deadline that this is a positive or negative result, in local elections each party sees its positive side. For DP, it is important to return to the institutions where it was missing, the rest of the DP will also have to return to the majority and cooperate for 2025."

Regarding Himara, Fevziu said that it is not such a sensitive electoral area. He emphasized that there was a deliberate attempt to give such colors of nationality to the campaign there.

"Himara has not been so sensitive, the 2000 elections I followed had ethnic colors. since 2003, even the mayor has been very correct in reports and to administer projects. The statements in my judgment are thoughtless, unfair. His arrest must be argued, but for the theft of votes there have been many denunciations and it is not enough to find just one person as the protagonist. But, on the other hand, the attempt to turn Himara into a nationalist battle, a battle for Hellenization, is unnecessary for the Himariotes themselves.
