The head of the socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has responded to what is being said about the clash between Prime Minister Edi Rama and former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, regarding the evidence that has come out for the latter, which we associate with the corruption of the incinerators.
Balla said in a statement to the media that they have voted for a report of the parliamentary investigative commission while emphasizing that they will not obstruct the work of justice.
"What I haven't heard these days about these stories. The SP and its parliamentary group have voted in the Assembly a report of the parliamentary investigative committee on this issue.
I suggest that you read carefully and the position voted by us is our position and the truth is that the SP of Albania continues to stick to the position that we are a parliamentary republic where justice has its job and the Assembly has its job. Everyone must respect all the actions of every institution. We are not of those who obstruct the work of justice. In the case in question, it was among the few that had an investigative commission and it resulted in a report. There was also another parliamentary investigative commission for the privatization of OSSH, for which Albanian taxpayers lost 418 million euros. I wish that SPAK goes to the end because Albanians want these cases to be investigated impartially and the persons responsible to be brought to justice", said Balla.
