Arbër Pepa, who is suspected of staging an explosive device explosion with his nephew near his apartment in Elbasan, was recently escorted by the police.

The investigation revealed that the incident was staged, due to a plan hatched by the uncle and nephew to obtain documents for Arbër Pepa in the EU.

A quantity of explosive material was placed on the first floor of a building, causing significant material damage, not only near the apartment where it was placed, but also to other apartments in the building. Fortunately, no one was injured.

But it only took a few hours for the police to uncover the incident and declare that the explosion was fabricated by the owner of the apartment himself, identified as Arbër Pepa, with the aim of using the incident to seek political asylum in EU countries.

The verifications have shown that the explosive material was placed by Arbër's nephew. Although a fabricated event, the damages are considerable for the other residents of the building. Meanwhile, the Elbasan police have initiated contacts with the Greek police to find and arrest Arbër Pepë.
