The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, today on International Autism Awareness Day, appealed for more help and support for people with autism for inclusion and equal opportunities.

The Head of State expressed that more dialogue and coordination of the work of institutions responsible for policies that assist them is needed.

President Begaj also emphasized that society should provide more support to parents of children with autism to remove the obstacles they face, as well as to create an accepting and positive environment, where assistance is the main focus.

The Institution of the President of the Republic of Albania joined institutions around the world that lit up in blue, the symbolic color of this awareness day, on April 2.
