The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, today held a communication with the Albanians of Greece, where he declared that his party "is determined for consolidated relations of neighborliness and good friendship" with the neighboring country.
Berisha also touched on some issues that are considered hot between the two countries, such as the agreement on the sharing of sea waters.
Regarding this, Berisha said that the agreement for 12 miles of Prime Minister Edi Rama's government is "much more unfavorable" than the one negotiated by his government.
"Why did Albania lose? Because the complete lack of seriousness of the government of Tirana, made the Greek government, which had stayed for decades in the space of 6 miles of territorial waters, in accordance with the international treaty, moved to 12 miles. And here Greece did not violate any treaty, on the contrary, Greece used the international right granted by the sea treaty", said Berisha.
He also spoke about Fredi Beleri, whom he said "Rama imprisoned", after he refused to run under the Socialist Party logo.
