The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said this Thursday that the situation in the north of Kosovo is dramatic.

Commenting on Prime Minister Edi Rama's reactions to this issue, Berisha said that the head of the government has put " knives in Kosovo's back " and that he has been an assistant to the Serbian President, Aleksandër Vucic.

"I think that the situation in the north of Kosovo, the bullets of the Serbian gangs in the vests, but also the injuries of the KFOR soldiers prove that there the situation is more dramatic, more critical than ever before since the liberation war of Kosovo. I think that this marks a forewarned degradation of the situation in the north of Kosovo, forewarned for those who are clear that Serbian nationalism in its entire being, existence, project has only greater Serbia and no other project. Edi Rama has been a slandered assistant of Aleksandër Vučič these years and has stabbed Kosovo in the back at every moment. In this context, do not forget his words. "When the war starts, you will ask me to intercede with brother Vucic. "Edi Rama is a slandered asset in the hands of Vucic," said Berisha.

As for the international reactions to the measures and sanctions, Berisha said that he was afraid that they could be read as encouragement from Vucic.  

"I fear that the punishments and sanctions against Kosovo are read as encouragement by the blind nationalist Vucic, so I am skeptical that they can positively affect stability and peace in the region," Berisha said.
