Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has dedicated his entire speech today in protest to Donald Trump's victory and the impact that, according to him, Trump's return will have not only on politics within the USA, but also globally.
Berisha believes that he has a similarity with Trump, saying that as he survived assassinations and attempts to imprison him, Berisha also faced "bombs and assassinations", only to return as prime minister.
During his speech from "house arrest" for corruption and money laundering, Berisha did not spare the attacks on George Soros, calling him a mafia that will be dismantled by Trump's coming to power.
Berisha blames Soros for declaring her "non-grata" in the US, and hopes that his sanction will be reversed by the Republicans.
Part of Berisha's speech:
Dear friends, yesterday's event has changed America, and as much as America affects the world, the world.
It has some great lessons for Albanians.
The first lesson for Albanian citizens is that return is possible, return is extraordinary.
The return of Donald Trump, after they tried to determine the president of the USA with assassinations, is a return both earthly and divine.
But, as you know, Sali Berisha returned after the communist rebellion. Withstood bombs, assassinations and everything. But his trust in the Albanians and the Albanians in him makes him the prime minister in 2005-2013.
Remember, please, never forget our first meeting at the Rogner Hotel at the first meeting of the Restoration.
In that meeting I confessed to you that a president of the USA had told a friend of mine when he was talking about me, that in the waters of a river you cannot bathe twice.
I, that September of 2021, was the person who had washed twice in the waters of a river, but I vowed that I will bathe a third time!
It's our turn, it's our turn, it's our turn
