The opposition's latest protest against Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha was a message to the 'Rama' government and international chancelleries.
In his speech during the Democrats' next rostrum, Berisha expressed gratitude for the citizens who rose up in the January 24 protest, filling the streets and, according to him, shaking up the regime.
"Unlimited gratitude to you, opposition citizens, brave men and women who sacrifice in this protest, in which you represent the voice of the Albanian civic conscience. You represent their courage, courage, determination, love for freedom and for this country. I greet you warmly and I greet all those Albanians who filled the streets and boulevards of Tirana and cheered an anti-Albanian regime. They cheered a regime that is an enemy of this nation, an enemy of this country. With their protest, they sent to all four corners of the world, to all the squares of capitals, to all the chancelleries of NATO, EU and Washington the message of Albanian citizens, who never agree with a regime that robs them every day", said Berisha.
He called for the continuation of the protests until victory, emphasizing that this is a battle for national dignity, Albania's assets, and the future of youth.
"This is a battle for our dignity, this is a battle for national dignity, this is a battle to rise above the propaganda of slander, fabrications and deceptions and of Edi Rama and to tell Albanians and the world that in this country, in this land, those who love Albania are us, those who believe in Albania are us. Friends, the path ahead is not easy for us, but it is clear as the sun's rays. Our mission is not easy, but we are more determined than ever to fulfill it. And our destiny is the destiny of Albania. Albania and our destiny are one. Can we, that dreams, destiny try in other lands? No, we will fight here. We will do everything to overthrow this great evil to transform the wealth of Albania into prosperity for Albanians. To restore the Albanian dream, the hope, the faith in Albania of Albanian youth. We come out and will come out in protests until victory because we believe in "God, but we also believe in Albania. We believe that this land is blessed, that this country has fabulous wealth, that Albania is the beauty of the earth and can become the land of the Albanian dream."
"February 10 is the next day of our peaceful uprising. On February 10, Albanians are invited to the streets and squares of Tirana. Let's give this regime the deserved lesson. Rama is the drug dictator of Albanians, therefore Albanians should reserve the fate of Enver Hoxha for him. Rama should only resign, there is no other alternative. The sovereign will be captured in a flash. I call on you, honorable officers, not to follow the orders of those who direct you. I call on you to be with the citizens who protect your families. I have noticed that you have also fired. Do not anger the citizens, because no one escapes their anger. Do not take the wrong mission, because your conscience will be burdened for the rest of your life. Criminal organizations are not protected, nor thieves. You can also unite with the citizens", Berisha concluded.
