Jurors are reviewing video of Diddy dragging and kicking his ex-girlfriend in a hotel.
Cassie Ventura, who testified in detail about the rapper's abusive behavior, stressed that she suffered from him for years. The footage, recorded by security cameras at a hotel in 2016, caused intense tension in the courtroom during the second day of the trial.
38-year-old Cassie Ventura confronted her ex-partner, testifying for approximately 4.5 hours about what she claimed she experienced during her 10-year relationship with Diddy.
"I'm not sure what happened, but Sean hit me and blackened my eye and the only thing I could think about at that moment was getting out of there safely," she said.
The incident occurred, according to her, after a situation at one of the so-called "Freak Off" parties:
"The party got violent and I chose to leave. Sean followed me down the hall by the elevators, grabbed me, threw me to the ground, kicked me, tried to drag me back into the room, took my things."
The singer claimed that she ran away barefoot while Diddy was in the shower.
“He has hit me like that many times,” she said.
The video in question, first released by CNN in May 2024, was shown to the jury unedited and shows Diddy dragging Ventura down the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, wearing only a towel and socks. At one point, he grabs her by the back of the head, throws her to the ground and kicks her several times. Then, he pulls her back into the room, dragging her by the hood of her jacket.
