Famous rapper injured with 14 knives in prison

Rapper Tory Lanez has been rushed to the hospital after being stabbed 14 times in a California prison.

The Canadian hip-hop artist was attacked by another inmate in a unit at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, about 120 km north of Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old rapper suffered wounds all over his body, causing both lungs to collapse, according to a post on his Instagram account.

"Despite being in pain, he is speaking normally, in good humor, and deeply grateful to God that he is making it," the post said.

Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, is serving a 10-year prison sentence for attempted murder after shooting his ex-girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
