Using Google Trends, Swede Anders Sundell has compiled a list of the most clicked states on Google, from 2004-2022.

These findings can be used as an interesting indicator of the cultural and social trends of each country.

For example, it is no wonder that the US would be the most searched country on Google where according to this study, it ranks first in the list in 45 of the 190 countries included in the report.

But a very interesting fact is that the most wanted country for Serbs was Kosovo, while for Kosovo the most wanted country was Albania.

On the other hand, the most wanted country for the Albanians of Albania during this period was Italy, while for the Italians it was the USA.

Andres Sundell is a political science expert with a particular focus on data visualization at the University of Gothenburg.
