A serious incident has shocked the community in Southern California, where a well-known fitness influencer and her partner were shot to death by her ex-husband, with whom she was going through divorce proceedings.

The tragedy occurred outside a restaurant in the city of Fontana, in San Bernardino County, on Sunday evening.

The victims have been identified as Gloria Zamora , 40, a well-known social media influencer and fitness trainer, and Hector Garduno, 43.

According to authorities, they were shot in the parking lot of the restaurant on Summit Avenue by Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga, the husband from whom Zamora was divorcing.

Gloria Zamora was a well-known figure on social media, with over 155 thousand followers on Instagram and around 85 thousand on TikTok.

She had built a large online community, sharing advice on exercise and healthy living, especially focused on mothers.

Family members describe her as a dedicated, hardworking woman with many plans for the future.
