One of the richest people in the world, Jeff Bezos, is officially out of the "singles club."
On Friday, he married his partner, Lauren Sánchez, in a grand ceremony in Venice, which the bride herself confirmed through an Instagram post.
The couple had about 200 guests at the ceremony.

Among them were well-known and powerful names in the world, such as Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump and Kim Kardashian.
Bezos, 61, and Sánchez, 55, tied the knot almost two years after announcing their engagement. For months, speculation about the wedding location and date had been rife. In March, Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro confirmed that the couple would tie the knot in the historic city, and the pair have been spotted out and about in Italy in the weeks leading up to the ceremony.

The wedding was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was moved to Friday due to a change of location, amid security concerns and protests in the city. Some residents protested against the ceremony, expressing concerns about the tourist overload the event could bring and the lack of benefits for the local community.

The wedding took place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Bezos and Sánchez arrived by separate water taxis.
Sánchez was earlier seen wearing a cream Dior suit, and later posted the first photo of herself in her wedding dress on Instagram, changing the name on her profile to Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

The wedding dress was designed by Dolce & Gabbana, with lace, a closed collar, buttons down the front, and a mermaid-shaped skirt. Completing the look was a floor-length veil.

Jeff Bezos had chosen a classic suit for the occasion.

The couple went public with their relationship in January 2019, shortly after Bezos announced his split from ex-wife MacKenzie Scott. At the time, Sánchez was married to producer Patrick Whitesell, but the couple began divorce proceedings in April of that year.
