Famous Mexican soap opera actor William Levy arrested

Cuban-American actor William Levy was arrested Monday in Broward County.

According to records, the 44-year-old, whose full name is William Gutiérrez-Levy, was arrested in Weston by the Broward Sheriff's Office. He was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on charges of being drunk in a public place, causing a nuisance and trespassing.

He appeared in bond court Tuesday afternoon, where a judge granted him a $500 bond. He was ordered to stay away from the area where he is accused of trespassing.

Since the early hours of Tuesday afternoon, he has remained behind bars.

Levy has starred in numerous soap operas and has also appeared in various Hollywood films such as "Girls Trip" and Tyler Perry's "Addicted."
