Usha Vance's spokesperson has denied rumors of a marital crisis between her and US Vice President JD Vance, following speculation that has spread on social media in recent days.
The rumors began after Usha's visit on November 19 to the Camp Lejeune military base in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where she appeared without her wedding ring while standing next to First Lady Melania Trump.

According to the spokeswoman, the reason was much simpler than was implied in the media: Usha, mother of three young children Ewan, 8 years old, Vivek, 5 years old, and Mirabel, 3 years old, had forgotten her ring before the public appearance.
"Usha is a mother of three young children, she washes a lot of dishes, gives the kids a lot of baths, and sometimes she forgets her ring," she told People magazine.
The couple, who met while studying at Yale Law School, have been married since 2014. However, rumors recently flared up even more after a viral moment where JD Vance was seen hugging Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, during a Turning Point USA event.
Erika Kirk explained that the hug was simply a gesture of support and even spoke publicly with appreciation for Usha, who, according to her, had given her words of encouragement at a difficult time.
In recent weeks, JD Vance has also been in the spotlight after his statement that he hopes Usha will one day convert to Catholicism.
