Zelensky says Ukraine is preparing to attack "deep in Russia"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukraine is preparing new attacks deep into Russian territory, as part of ongoing operations to defend the country.

Through a post on platform X, Zelensky said that he held a meeting with the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, General Oleksandr Syrsky, where the situation on the front line and plans for the next stages of the war were discussed.

"We will continue our active operations in the right way for the defense of Ukraine. Forces and resources are prepared. New deep attacks are also planned," Zelensky writes.

The president's statement comes at a time when Russian forces are trying to advance in several directions along the front line in eastern Ukraine, while Kiev continues to seek continued military support from the West.
