Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing and after the conversation he declared that the meeting was "cordial and successful".
"President Xi personally invited me for a state visit to China in a short conversation. We will come for an official state visit in the next six months," Vučić said.
He also boasted that the Chinese leader extended the meeting by an extra 15 minutes and spoke outside the framework of protocol, "something he only does when it comes to friends."
Vučić said he spoke to Xi about the history of the Serbian people and their role in World War II. “I told him how the Serbian people rose up against fascism in World War II… So that people know that the Serbian people were the bearers of the fight against fascism,” he said.
