The chairman of the Red Party of Norway, Bjornar Moxnes, has been arrested for stealing expensive sunglasses at Oslo airport.

USA Today reported that Moxnes was detained in Gardermoen after it was discovered that he had left a store in Oslo airport with expensive glasses that he had not paid for.

The event happened two weeks ago and the young politician Moxnes said that he "accidentally" put the glasses in his bag.

He was fined 3,000 Norwegian kuna (255 euros).

Moxnes has stated on his profile on the social network Facebook that the police are doing their job and that this was a shameful experience for him.

The Norwegian politician has said that there are no excuses and that he must accept the consequences of this situation.
